So I had
WValtakis
and Josh from @razor-edge-knives do some custom work for me on a Spyderco Advocate. I can't say enough how pleased I am with how everything turned out.
WValtakis did the anodizing on the scales. He also does all sorts of embellishment, so check him out if you need anything, you can direct message him here on bladeforums for inquiries. He was very good at communicating with me so we could figure out the colors and design for the scales. Really top notch.
Josh did the dlc coating. I really like this coating. It's smooth and doesn't have the sandpaper texture that other dlc has. He was really good at communicating with me explaining the options I had, to ensure I was getting exactly what I wanted. He also does sharpening, cerakote, regrinds, and a slew of other services. Check out his website for inquiries.
Thanks guys for taking my Advocate and making it truly one of a kind!
The pictures of the finished product come next. My only regret is that I didn't have Josh sharpen the blade, I instead decided to do a low grit hack job on my own while in a hurry. Don't mind the fingerprint and smears on the dlc blade. Haven't found a good cloth to wipe it down with yet.
