first and last time dealing with rek. had to explain to him what I wanted done 3 days in a row only to have him tell me that he couldn't do it. somehow I can mail my $600 knife to him in 2 days but now he forgot where the post offie is and doesn't bother to put the correct amount of insurance on it like I had requested. Josh....ive sent you several texts and emails....id hope you take this serious as if its not found....you just bought my knife.
Waiting on an email from the usps.....address was changed in Greenville sc and package was returned to sender per their request....????
Any input of this Josh...????
Lucas,
Normally I would address this privately as that is more appropriate, but since you decided to go public w/ this I will have to address it since everything you said in the two posts above is false.
Let me address these in order... Maybe you would rather put it in a more appropriate place such as
The Good, Bad, and Ugly section of the forum? That's what that section is for as others have posted reviews about my reputation which can been seen
here,
here, and
here.
So you had to explain to me what you wanted done over and over for 3 days before I could tell you what I can and can't do? I don't think so. We discussed, initially, anodizing your Chaves 228 in a copper/bronze color. Your package arrived on (on Sat. the 26th) and I emailed you and let you know the same day (a non business day) to which you replied and asked when I would be able to get to it. I let you know that it was 4-7 business days on custom work (which you had a problem with?? Turn around time is specified at the top of the
Mail-in Sharpening page that you had to go to to fill out the form...).
So on Sunday (my day off) I disassembled it because I wanted to start tumbling it to get it polished for the ano. At that time I checked the thumb stud (which you specified you wanted anodized) I found that it was not titanium but rather steel (which cannot be anodized). So I contacted you immediately (verified by date/time stamp over text) and let you know (in a phone call), at which point you decided to bronze cerakote it with a two tone look (Cerakote turn around is 1-2 weeks as I tell all my customers who ask - so this would have justified a delay since you changed your order). Regardless, I added it to the current batch of Cerakote and coated it Wednesday and
sent you pictures. It then left (was dropped off at the post office) on Thurs 10/1 as the
tracking number (9410811899563833710583) clearly shows. It's funny to me that you are making such a big deal about this when the scheduled deliver day is TODAY

Most people give it a week or so... as a matter of fact, you can't even file a USPS claim until 15 days have passed.
So as I've shown, I didn't "forget where the post office was" and actually turned around your knife rather quickly compared to most of my other customers. As far as sending me several texts and emails... I have responded to everyone that I know of, and most of those responses were practically immediate. I have no idea about any address change or it being returned to sender... I certainly did not request that and I did not appreciate your "boy" calling to threaten me telling me he will "see me later today" since he is in NC?? Wow... lol.
Here you can see (albeit small, could not figure out how to resize it) a pic of my Stamps.com log and you can see the date and that I got $600 insurance as you requested, so that is also false. You can call Stamps.com to verify if you wish. I am guessing you are seeing on the USPS website where it says "Up to $50 insurance included" and thought that's all I got?
So in summary... If I had wanted to steal your knife I would not have gone to all the trouble to take pictures, mail it out, and then request that it get returned to me. I also would not have stolen your Chaves because that is on the lower end price wise of some of what I work on ($2k-$9k customs).
Also it should be noted that you opened a dispute through Paypal about the $ you paid me for my work on your Chaves. I am not some "fly by night" knife pimper... I am a professional that does this full time for a living (after recently quitting my local law enforcement job of 10 years) and enjoy what I do. I have
a track record dating back 4 years consisting of about 45 5-star reviews.
Have a great weekend!
