Friendly, knowledgable, easy to communicate with, timely, reasonably priced, quality service and product--these are all accurate for sure. But let's be honest...something is missing from this description. Emotion? Excitement? Energy level? If I tried to capture how I feel in one or two words about Josh and his sharpening/regrind skills, it would have to be


EXTREME BAD@SSERY!!!


That's right!!! I sent him a CS Ultimate Hunter and what I received back was nothing short of spectacular! Pure awesomeness in every way! I am not going to go on and on about how excellent my experience was with Josh. Suffice it to say that he was very accommodating, communicative, knowledgeable, and timely. As for the end product, I will let the pics speak for themselves.

Thanks again, Josh. You did an outstanding job!







And finally, what I like to call "the amazing disappearing thin edge apex" :D...

 
Everything I got from Josh is the sharpest I have ever owned, and all of it looks factory.

If only factory knives, and even most customs, were made with this kind of care...: Dead straight, dead centering of the edge to the spine every time, and perfectly symmetrical bevels, with matching height, even on the four sides of a long narrow Al Mar Shadow IV dagger...

And for those who worry about an altered temper, he is very careful about that, low RPM and a water-cooled belt, and all the knives I got back held their edges exactly the same.

He now seems to thin and re-grind hollow grinds as well, although not so much from a flat grind (that I know of). Fast turnaround, and the Cerakoat service itself is another huge plus.

Most of my collection has seen the REK treatment, and the only difficulty is bringing yourself to using them... Otherworldly performance when you do... What more can I say?

Josh is the best at what he does. The edges he sharpens and his regrinds are without equal. I have had Josh work on at least 10 of my knives, and every single one was amazing. Oh yeah, and he is a total class act and a genuinely nice guy. If you want someone to sharpen or regrind a knife, send it to Josh. You will be very very very happy with the results.

Insane talent from a guy who is as humble and genuine as it gets, makes Josh the best person in the knife world period.
Always has the time even when I know he doesn't.....

I sometimes think Josh is alien....

+1 for Josh at REK. By far the best sharpening experience I've ever had! Even kept in touch throughout the whole process via text. :)
