Josh at REK is a great guy who does excellent Cerakoting!
I never liked the way ZT doesn't coat the handle scales on their BLK models.
So I sent Josh the lockbar scale of my 0620 to coat black.
I was a little worried about getting the knife back together once coated, because it definitely was a bi##h to get it apart!
But it went together perfectly, and looks amazing, IMHO.
The coating has a nice little bit of texture.
I'll definitely be sending Josh my 0550BLK scale soon, if not a couple others as well.
I forgot to be careful removing it from my pocket. I'll remember now!
After a few weeks/months I'll try to remember to report back about how the coating holds up.
Also, I know there's a post somewhere with REK's work, but I couldn't find it.
Could someone post a link, please?
