razors?

Just curious i have many slip joints but i was curious ive never own one with a razor in it and have always been curious what the razor in the case knives for example were originally used for?

If you are referring to a knife with a blade like this, then I believe that the reason for such blades was that you could hook them on articles of clothing (pockets, belt etc) in order to facilitate easy opening.
