Very cool GAW Julio. I'm getting my RBK tomorrow per the USPS tracking info. Will hopefully be able to place an order mid-week this week. If not then, might be three or four weeks after that. Will email questions/details.

w00t! Both my RBK and my new 710 sheath arrived today:

This is just a quick teaser until I get a chance to get the RBK dirtied up some. At the top is the AWESOME 710 sheath, with the factory sheath below it for visual comparison. Also, my beloved machax is shown under the RBK. The blades don't look *that* much different in pics, but ye gods do they feel different in the hand. Much more steel, and much more forward weight with the RBK. They really are two completely different blades. My first impression is that the RBK is truly a "big knife," whereas the machax is just a sort of large, small knife if that makes sense.

I'm gonna strip the blade (will keep coating on handle under the scales) and convex the RBK, and most importantly gonna go get it dirty in the woods as soon as I can.

THANK YOU so much to Julio for the awesome giveaway and service, and to Dex for the great customer service and for giving me a place to buy steel that I feel really good supporting. The attention to detail for both of these guys is off the charts. Both the Kydex and the leather trim on the sheath is finished beautifully, better than anything I've yet seen firsthand. And Dex includes his awesome replacement hardware and hex wrench at no additional charge. Thanks again guys!
