Rc-10

This is fantastic news. I was concerned the rc6 wouldnt be big enough. I didnt want to go to the rtak 2 cause it's ontario, but now i dont have to. will definately pick this up as soon as i can.

sure.. the one day I dont check the forum (yesterday) the RC 10 thread is posted. :)

I'm excited to see it, but I dont think I need a $180 machete.

This is going to be a beast of a blade. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with.
Matt

I must admit I love big blades, so I'm definitely looking foreward to this.

I want a prototype now, to get some things done in my backyard :D

Considering the Ontarior RTAK is around $100 from online dealers, I was thinking the final internet price for the RC-10 would be around $130-140? I hope that's the case. I'd recommend keeping it below the Scrapyard/Swamp Rat price range.

No price has been mentioned ,so let's not start guessing and then someone else takes it as the gosspel and next thing you know more questions emerge..

We don't compete with anyone. Not to sound like an asshole, but our price is what it is, regardless of what others prices may be.

...and thats why I love you!
No BS sales reports or attempts to compete.
When you buy an admittedly high-end knife from RAT its because you purchased Quality not HYPE! and even then its not overpriced its just priced for what it is!

Based on all other products offered by RAT, whatever the final price is, I'm sure it'll be worth it.;-)

Everything you guys produce is worth every penny. I was just having fun speculating.

IF we duplicated our old design exactly and put it out it would be an upgrade because of our lifetime, no questions asked warranty, Rowen make and customer service. I said ..IF we duplicated our old design.......but we didn't.:) Mike

I will go back and say this again: even the old RTAK, to me, was basically a high-priced machete. I was really surprised that it sold as well as it did being it was designed as a sheath blade / machete compromise for the jungle. In all honesty, if I need an RTAK style blade then I would be fine with a good Condor machete or even a cheaper Tramontina. With that said, the popularity is there and even I will admit that I would use the hell out of an RTAK style blade more than I would a RC-3, so we're going to build one. It may be a little pricey but we plan on knocking the margin of profit down on this blade to take care of some of the extra manufacturing costs and get it to market as least expensive as possible.

I don't really care what the price is. All I know is I want a RAT chopper, and now I know one is coming out sometime in the next year (hopefully >.>). As long as it is a genuine RAT, I am sure it will sell fantastic. If nothing else, almost if not everyone here will buy one if you only make a limited run on them.

Jeff, you know just what to say to make my nipples hard. I can't wait to see this blade.

Yeah!!! My philosophy exactly! Some of my competion don't like it: But it is what it is! :D

Hmm...hoping that it has some kind of a recurve/bolo shape to it for solid wood chopping
