Something else to consider, here in Kentucky we can carry a blade openly, or concealed with a permit. The RC-4 carries nicely but I think the RC-6 would be a little large for everyday carry.Belgrave mate, Out in leafy suburbia part way up the Dandenongs.

Sorry, I just reread your original post. I wouldn't call the RC-4 "Large" so it sounds like you're leaning towards the RC-5 or 6.The position is will be filling is my primary large bush/survival knife.
I want it to be able to perform well in the place of an axe or a saw for fire and shelter.

RC-6 with Rc-3 make a great combo. RC-4 if it will be solo. The Izula would just be icing on the cake.
