RC-3 Mod Project (pic heavy)

Thanks a bunch! One thing I did notice after stripping the coating is that it does rattle slightly in the sheath now, but it's still plenty secure. I tried holding it upside down and shaking as hard as I could/jumping around like a lunatic with a bad itch and I still wasn't able to dislodge it. It actually draws a big easier now, and if I scuff up the coating real bad, I can always reapply the blueing.

Also, as the pics note, I have RC-3 #062308! Which ones do you guys have?

I wished we could say we have sold 62,308 RC-3 knives, but that's just not the case ;)

Really nice job u did there, another advantage is that if it gets any more scratches on there u can just touch them up again.

42, your pics helped push me over the edge and helped me decide that I want, no need, some sort of RAT product. Couple of questions on your mod, though: what type of stripped did you use, and I'm guessing you used a cold blue kit?

I just used a paint scraper to remove the coating. The blueing kit was a Birchwood Casey cold blue kit.
