Excellent stuff guys. Loving the warm welcome into my future RAT familyAh man...it's gonna be real hard picking the first color/blade combination. Although most of you are recommending the RC 4 for my primary survival blade purposes, Im thinking im gonna work my way up the RAT ladder -Since I'm going to end up owning them all right guys?
and start with the RC 3MIL-Plain Edge. I can't waiiiiit!
You will love the RC3mil and it will handle whatever you toss at it!
RC3 is a better slicer due to the thinner blade - it is also pretty easy to EDC should you want to - I carry mine often in my back pocket when wearing a jacket or untucked shirt and dont even notice it. It is a light and quick monster!!!
Some additional confidence for you: the RC4 is thicker and it was recommended as a great survival blade as a result, BUT, I dont think I've ever heard of someone snapping an RC3 (except one guy who was prying up stones or something in his driveway) or the thinness ever being a real issue in the field - the RC3mil is TOUGH!
