RC-3MIL and Sharpsooter Sheath

Thanks! It still needs work, I would say it's 60% there. It cuts through paper pretty easy, but I'm after the hair poping stuff.
 
Looks to me that you're at the point of just using a strop
 
I have a leather belt to put on the sander. I should just give that a try... BTW that was done with 15 microns, I still have a 9 micron belt too.
 
I would take Jeff's advise and finish by hand on a loaded strop. Run to a local hardware store and buy some mild steel flat stock and practice on that. Keep that 3 away from the sander.
 
Practice makes perfect. Keep trying... since you've passed the stage of being afraid to ruin your knife and have a new one coming, I say go for it and keep us posted. Good luck to you.
