rc-5 handle colors.

Hi all

Never had a knife with this handle material before. Surprised me when I saw the color difference.

rubbed in a little oil and I guess it just absorbs it. There is absolutley no residue on my hand when I hold it, and the color looks pretty nice.

If you find that you don't like the darkness from the oil it will wash right out with some dish soap and warm water. That canvas micarta is some great stuff!

I think I like the dark color better. Both colors look good though.

I like the dark too. It stays consistently dark while the regular color gets unevenly stained.

What oil did you use?

Actually this was more of a petroleum jelly type substance. I use it for rust prevention as well. Works great!

They both look nice, but the dark handle really stands out.

hmm.. Pic might be deceiving, because the dark handle "stands out" less the the original when there actually in front of you/ in the sheath.
