Was wondering if anyone had some sort of modified clips where the RC-6 can be carried scout style (behind the back)?

I tried using the standard issue clips but they are just a wee too short :(

PastorMarko, sorry But i've never heard that before? Hmmmmm sounds good, I carry my hawk on my back well really on my side. sounds like a good Idea. But How??????

Have you tried a Tek-Lok yet? They tend to be the standard for multipositional carrying.

Thread cord thru and make a few belt loops. Tie em up tight but not to tight or you'll never get a belt thru.

I've been thinking of this carry for a knife, but have been a bit cautious due to anecdotal reports of back injuries caused by falling with a handgun carried SOB. Anyone have any like info on this type of knife carry?

Have not tried Tek-Lok yet, thanks, also going to try the threading, that should work.

I don't have any paracord right now but I have a bunch of leather strings.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the info. and advise.

Just trying to learn like everybody else here. Everyone has really made me feel welcomed here and I really appreciate that.

so what part of the ouachitas are you in?

Hey, Pastor. If you get it rigged comfortably to carry this way please post pics, I'm curious to see it. Thanks.

I've found the tec lock to be too lose for scout carry. Just doesn't lockup right. I have kinda staggered the molle locks and done a canted IWB scout carry with both the four and the six. It's a very good way to conceal a huge knife like the six. I can sit comfortably like that. The molle locks are wide enough, that even in the vert position, you can iwb and cant it for a back draw very comfortably. I recommend a thin nylon belt.

Play around, and see what works for you. I've got photos in a thread here about the rc4. I can get some of the six too if you want

think that'll work. Can't post direct photos for some reason on my phone.

if you fall in a manner that this would be an issue, you'd be getting injuries anyways.

My brother sometimes carries his Izula this way with the molly lock.
It's concealable with an untucked shirt, but a bit more difficult to resheath.

I'd imagine the RC-6 would be more difficult to do both.

It is more difficult, I can honestly say. it is hard to resheath, you have to hold the sheath and insert.

I worked on this for a while, tried 3 different styles and this worked best.

I just used the paracord rigging that came with the knife. I have some scrap leather that I think I can use and make a better harness, but this is working good so far.

Pics are as follows:

Glad that worked...ranger bands around the sheath might help grip the belt alittle if it moves around too much

How about upside down like a shoulder holster? Then it is out of the small of your back and you can stand and sit easier especially in and out of vehicles.

If you use the Molle clips and a regular belt, it looks like it is in a holster, it rides up very high, but the good thing is if you wear an over shirt, no one can see you have a knife.

I'll give it a try. I bought this from LAPG you could use it like a drop holster...knife, flashlight and small survival kit. maybe not so comfortable on a hot summer day...
