Whats the PM and P mean?

Im looking at getting the orange version PE

Whats the advantage with the military model?

P in both cases means plain edge, while M means it has the modified pommel.

The difference between the Military model and others is in the ESEE FAQ thread stickied to the top of the page.

If purchasing a standard ESEE3 I like the modified pommel (rounded off like the ESEE4's)
the MIL have Sharpen pommel & canvas micarta
