Hello,
I have very limited experience with RC cars. You should definitely check Tamiya, to be honest with you that is the only RC company I know. A few years ago, my good friend picked up on sale Tamiya electric buggy kit, 4WD in 1/10 scale. He got really busy at work than moved, so he gave it to me. I spent a few hours building it, extremely well made model, the chassis frame was made out of carbon fiber! I used it a few times than gave it away to my other friend’s son.
