OK, you can only have one of them. Which would you pick and why? No, you CAN'T have both -- only one. A cruel reality I'm sure you could not endure, but you must! Now choose...

hmm., if it's in a survival type situation I'd go with the RC-4 for the added thickness and blade length.

If I had to only pick one to EDC ever again, out of these two I'd choose the RC-3 for the thinner blade and less weight.

If someone was trying to steal one of 'em from me I'd keep the RC-4 for the added blade length to stab 'em with so I could get my RC-3 back!! :D

+1 for rc-3
i have both (rc-4 in mail)
but for edc rc-3 every day on my belt
i got the rc-4 for my bob and camping

I have a 3 and 4 and if I could only keep one, it would be the RC-4. The RC-4s has, in my opinion, greater fixed blade versatility. However, after giving it more thought I have decided not to part with either, no matter what "Minuteman" says. :)

4. In my opinion it is the Rat Cutlery "Flagship" knife. Like Goldilocks, not to big, not too small, just right! :) It is the knife that I always have with me when I am hunting. Big enough to baton, small and thin enough to skin and butcher a bear with dexterity as I did last summer. For EDC I go with a Kershaw Scallion; something like that.

RC4 the added strength and blade length comes in handy, plus it is still light enough for EDC carry.

RC4 definitely. Some of the greatest versatility of any knife around. I like to call it the biggest little knife around because of it will do most anything a small knife will do, but its virtually indestructible.

I have both and edc the 3 and the 4 is my hiking knife. Have to choose just one, oh the horror! It would be the 4 as the keeper. I would then sprint to the phone and order an Izula!!!!!!:D

RC4 would be my choice. Anything I need the RC3 for can be done with the RC4. The only advantage the RC3 has is for EDC due to it's lighter weight and smaller size.

RC-3 for daily carry (and I like the molded sheath better than the kydex) but the 4 if it would have to be my only knife, due to the greater versatility.

RC-3 for EDC, however since I live where there is woods, I would take the RC-4 because it would be better for doing the type of chores that may need to be done.

I'm struggling with this decision myself. it seems like it comes down to the RC-3 is better for EDC, the RC-4 is better for bushcraft. So how much worse is the RC-4 for EDC? How much worse is the RC-3 in the woods?

No. I reject your reality and substitute my own.

WOOOOOOOWWWoOOOOOOOooooo
I'm sure the help is apprecitated.

I will place myself in your reality for now, although I think I reject it (whatever that means), and say that I love the rc-4. I am planning on getting a 3 at some point, but have used the 4 in many applications and have never been left wanting for better performance.
