RC3 or RC4, Make Up Your Mind...

I went with the RC4 as my one and only RAT Cutlery knife. Now I am regreting not getting the RC6, RC3 and Izula.

The RC4 is so great I must collect them all, kind of like Pokemon I suppose.

The RC4 is fantastic for EDC. There is no real weight difference between the two and the sheath system on the RC4 is more versatile than the RC3's.

I completely agree. I bought my "one and only" RAT as an RC4 as well. But now I want a 3, 6, and Izula.

I actually made this decision a few weeks ago. Had both but they were so close in size, I decided to swap one for another rat. I kept the RC-3. I figured the 4 wasn't quite big enough for chopping and the 3 was better suited to carry around because it's slightly smaller. I've since got a RC-6 on it's way to me, so I don't feel like I'll be missing out. I amazed my friends camping last year with that RC-3. nobody brought an axe, so I batonned some logs down to size to get a fire going with the RC-3. They laughed at me when I told them what I was going to do, but all were awe struck when the knife did the job like a champ. A bigger knife would've been easier on my knuckles ( they got a little scraped up) but it's nice to know the RC-3 could do the job if needed.

Yup, I agree. My first RC blade was a "4", and my overall favorite. For reasons previously stated in this post.

I have the RC-4 and I love the knife. It's a great size and it's easily within weight range of an EDC for me. I do have to say, though, I don't like the sheath for this as well as I do the one for the RC-3. If RAT decides to make on in the future, I'll definitely buy one.

ok, picture me making a walrus mustache with my fingers, lowering my voice...

"I thought I saw a rule that said "no quoting Mythbusters" :D

got my rc-4 today
i think ill change my mind
ill let you guys now after ill carry the knife tomorrow

RC-4 for me.
I don't even own an RC-3. In my mind, it is much easier to find a small blade which is good for small-blade-tasks (like a folder or a non-RAT). I'd prefer to have THE knife I use for my big-blade-tasks be a RAT.

RC-4. You can always use a larger blade for a smaller task, but never vice versa.
Exactly!!

RC-3 because it probably fits better in pants pocket. (I don't have one but I must need one - Izula is great but if I need a goto chore knife that will always be in my pocket, the larger size and handle of RC3 would be more practical).
