Except I ordered a black blade and OD sheath, and got a black sheath and OD blade! GRRRR. The knife is so sick though... Now with the eagle sheaths being on the way out I doubt I can return it and get another one, and even if I did I'd have to pay 10 bucks shipping to get it there. So the question is, do I pay the 10 bucks and wait two weeks assuming they have another eagle sheath, or do I sit on what I have...
 
Already done. It's a matter of getting the new one by the time I leave for my trip, and getting an OD Eagle sheath now that they've stopped making them, and not paying a ridiculous amount of shipping.
 
I stil have that black plain edge w/ black sheath laying around and can ship priority:)

I got mine the other day too...Great knife!
 
It's not the OD blade that bothers me as much as the sheath-the green actually doesn't look half bad. A black sheath is gonna stick out like a sore thumb on the dry earth eberlestock pack. I checked the packing list, it says right on it Black Blade OD sheath, so I know it wasn't my mistake.
 
Yea I wish I could have seen them together. I didn't want to chance it and thought black would be the safest
 
worst part about all this is I have what may be the finest survival knife in existence in my hands, and I cant use it cuz I have to send it back in!
 
That is frustrating. I don't know who you bought it from, but I will say that we all make mistakes from time to time.

I say forget the whole RMA thing and keep what you have. But then I assume your trip involves going into the wilderness and not a cover shoot for Cosmo :p
 
well it's a rafting trip... so chances are it's going to see use but it's not going to be vital to survival... I just wanted to take some good pictures and try it out... I do have the new Koyote if worst comes to worst.

Well I say that's a load of BS. We are the manufacturer. We didn't make the mistake. The dealer got what they ordered or they would have called us about it when they got their order in if it had been wrong. It sounds like they are trying to pass the blame on to us.
 
It was Keenzo, if that helps ;) Their price was 30 dollars below everyone else's, though after this headache and all the positive support for other online RAT dealers I will probably go with one of them next time.
 
Sucks about the mishap. Sometimes cheaper isn't ALWAYS better. I can be but sometimes you gotta deal with more crap. Good luck on getting it worked out.
 
Never heard of the dealer. Obviously they are lying to you about the RMA. That's the problem with all these 2-bit dealers that buy from discount wholesalers. They try to cut the competition's throat then they have zero customer support. I don't like 'em and won't sell to them but we can't keep master distributors from selling to them. Although we did drop a major MD from our list of customers and refuse to sell to them anymore... but that was because they wouldn't pay their bills.
 
Payette, if the knife is not used, then we will swap it out directly for you instead of you having to deal with that 2-bit dealer again. I can scrounge up an OD Eagle sheath.
