RC5 is here!

I'd love that Jeff-the knife is unused. In fact if it's easier for you I'll just send you the sheath, the OD isn't bad on the blade, I just don't want a big black block strapped to my 500 dollar dry earth pack. Whichever way you prefer.

Just called Shon and he said we can get a new one shipped out to you ASAP (with an OD sheath - just happen to have one) and then you can just send us the old one back. All of this is provided that the one you have is still in brand new condition of course.

The choice is your bro. We can just mail you a sheath if you are satisfied with the OD blade. Easier on us. If we do that, then take the black sheath and give it away here on BFs or have a contest for it, or whatever.....

I know Jeff is always talking BS about trying other people's knives and how RAT Cutlery is not the best out there. Use whatever works blah blah blah...

But this is what it comes down to, and why this community is so great, RAT helps people out. The warranty is the best hands down. Taking care of customers in a total non BS way is the reason why I buy these knives. Not to say that the knives don't hold their own right, consider that the ceteris paribus. It's all about the people!!

Honestly Jeff, I've seen your knives used in the field before, and held them, but upon close inspection of this RC5 I have no idea how you make such a fine product with the warranty and customer service that you have at such a reasonable cost. Even for a tank it is very well balanced. The design down to the glass breaker is well thought out, the lanyard hole is plenty big without sacrificing the strength of the glass breaker. The SERRATIONS are strong yet low profile and I don't know what I'd have to do short of a bastard file and hammer to mess them up. The finish is deep and textured without being too much so, and the factory edge, though I can't honestly say is the sharpest I've received from the manufacturer, is definitely adequate, even and well applied. The handle is plenty big yet still a secure grip. Every man should get to own a knife like this.

Top notch, Jeff. Love to hear stories end good, even through the screwed up people trying to blame RAT for their own mistakes.

I was debating buying an RC-5 and you just made my decision so much easier. That was above and beyond.

Consider another RC-5 sold.

One question though, where do I find the latest RC-5's that ship with kydex sheaths?

VERY well stated!

Payette, if the knife is not used, then we will swap it out directly for you instead of you having to deal with that 2-bit dealer again. I can scrounge up an OD Eagle sheath.

So, from the way it seems to me is: The OP bought a RC blade from a well... :jerkit: However the maker of the blade will go out and support the customer in the end. Top notch. Many a business will not do that anymore.

My next blade will deff be RC.

Appreciate the kudos guys, but we base our business on how we want to be treated. I'm sick of these fly-by-night companies that don't give the first damn about their customers, then try to pass the buck when they're caught in a mistake. I don't like folks who play both sides against the middle. As Ayn Rand once said (paraphrasing), "it's either right or it's wrong, but the middle is always evil."

As far as finding an RC-5 with Kydex sheath, they will start shipping soon so just make sure you ask your dealer what sheath your knife is coming with. It may take a few weeks for most of the dealers to get them in stock.

Jeff I am ready to pull the trigger on an RC-5 w/kydex, do you have any inside info on where I can get one without having to wait weeks?

Thanks in advance:)
