RC6 removing coating and polishing

I actually ordered an F1 yesterday and should have it hopefully by the end of the week. Been wanting this knife for the longest time.

Yeah...I was trying to be funny (It would've been funnier if I could have pulled off an upper midwest accent like the folks in the move Fargo). My ESEEs are users too. None have that kind of wear but someday!

I am guessing some serious firewood has met it's match in that ESEE-6.

Ya man some thick knotty wood out in the middle of nowhere and in my back yard. I use it all the time to make fires and what not. Its my "Do everything" knife. I love the blade. It takes some serious abuse and begs for more.

How does the coating on the esee line compare to the SOG Seal blade coating. I dont have an esee yet but have found that the SOG coating comes off fairly easy if you actually use the knife like it should be used.

my vote goes to chemical stripping. preferably the aerosol kind you can get at home depot . It will leave the laser engraving in tact unlike sand paper!!! the first pick is after chemical stripping and the second after cleaning it up with an abrasive blaster...
