RC6 sheath

Just got off the phone with Mike and he confirmed what you guys have said in this thread re. the RC6 sheath NOT being kydex.

My initial post was probably not as detailed as it should have been, but unlike what kgd alluded to, the reason for asking for an RC5 sheath for the 6 is not because of the looks or because it's tan.

What I'm looking for is a retention system similar to what they have on the 5 sheath. I like that a lot.

If you mean the adjustable tensioner on the new RC-5 kydex, your right, it is perfect.

But I've been happy with the tension of the stock molded RC-6 sheath as well. And a Molle back with a jump proof strap will make it all the better.

Yes, the adjustable tensioner. I wish they would put this on all their sheaths.

I just got a message from Lisa at Two Wolves Outdoor. The belt clip plates or backs for the RC-6 sheath came in. I ordered one for $20 shipping included. This will really improve the sheath for belt carry. I think the newer RC-6s come with this instead of the MOLLE clips. :thumbup:

Refresh my memory...was it said that this new molle back sheath would be available for purchase both by itself as well as with an RC-5 or RC-6? I'm looking to purchase an RC-6 in the near future...probably be a few weeks out anyway. Might as well purchase them at the same time.

The MOLLE back that will soon appear will be an option. It will not be standard issue with either knife. SO will the accessory pocket that can be bolted to the front of both sheaths. Should be in October some time and will be available from all stocking dealers who order it. Mike

Seriously, sorry I was cranky....I'm getting old and all my hair has turned white....Didn't mean to offend you with my comment there, it just sort of slipped out and I kept seeing colours in your post rather than other aspects. Peace man!
