Just got my first pieces of Robert Calcinore 3-bar Damascus today. Just lovely stuff! I am excited about the opportunity to make a knife from it.

I'll try to post a photo later. Right now you couldn't tell what the actual piece will look like because it is unetched. The piece I got has a band of mosaic damascus in the center, surrounded by outer bands of O1.

My username is my first dog's name. She was a black lab mix that I got as a 6 month old pup. She was full of energy and LOVED going outside for a walk. Leash laws being what they are, I always had her on a leash. It did little to dampen her enthusiasm. She would literally run circles around me and wrap my legs in the leash, tripping me up. So I called her Tripper... then decided replacing the vowels with Ys made it look more like a name and less like an insult. Since then I use that username because it is always available no matter how many other users are on the site.

Nice Damascus Tryppyr. Is it for sale, or did you just post it in the wrong forum accidentally?
 
I have used mosaic Damascus from Rob for many years. It has always been 100% !!! He and his wife Debbie are the very best of people. Sure wish I could take him up on his offer for me to visit and see his work in progress, but it will never happen. He is truly a great artist in the making of Damascus. Frank
