Rd-6

Elen,

Thanks for the advices. My only large blade experiences come from the use of swedish bill hooks we use intensively for chopping in my timbered area. I've modified a one by removing the hook. I could do with it but, well, you know what i mean, any excuse is good for a knife purchase.

Busse sold Justin the original blanks for the RD seres, so effectively, he helped Justin get where he is today. They are good friends and have a great respect for each others work. I wish that respect could extend to everyone.

It should more be a matter of "how much are you ready to pay for the knife"

I like my Ranger. I hope I'll be able to afford a Busse someday.

If you like that RD-6, then you'll need an RD-9 for heavy chopping and if you like the RD-9 you'll need an RD-4 for slicing. It's a sickness:eek::thumbup:

I'm starting small and working my way up the ladder:D.

Satin finish and blue scales, G10 I'm guessing? That's a really striking look, probably one of the favorites from the posts I've read. I just ordered a stock RD-6 from Brigade a couple days ago. I considered getting a satin/blue custom from Justin directly, but I didn't sober up soon enough. :D I'll just have to use it a bit and then send it off to him when I decide what mods I want.

Hope you're taking those pics right now, and don't forget the video. :)

BTW, I have an RD9, too. I'm working my way down the ladder until my Rangers meet my Ontario RATs. Then I really won't be able to make up my mind...

Hey Treg....

Recently got got a whole whack of Ranger knives in..
RD 7 and 9 Clip point, RD4 Clip, Shiv Drop point, and my RD6 Clip and Shiv Tanto are on their way....
I also have the RD 6-7-9 in Drop point and 2 Little birds (But those are Justin's, I just use them sometimes.. :) Shhh!...

In my opinion some of the best knives out there, knives you can rely on and Justin stands behind what he makes...

Where can you get a 9"+ knife like that for $120.00. You simply can't go wrong with them.
For that kind of money it would be foolish not to have a few of them..

I know I won't be satisfied until I've got every model of knife Justin puts out..

As soon as I get these paid for I'm headed for the RAK series and whatever else he's got...
