• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Saw this over at rangerknives. It looks like a nice design. Does anyone have one, if so what are your impressions. It is constructed of 1055 spring steel, so my guess is it would be fairly tough. Not sure what the hardness is at or what kind of edge retention it would get. I would like to get a comparison of Justin's 1055 heat treat and hardness versus, say, a scrapyard chopper is s77.

Also, does anyone know if this can be purchased in a upgraded steel? I tried to email but it was bounced back.

Thanks

Justin sold his line to Ontario, he was at one time offering some of his work in other steels on a custom basis. You might want to contact him about that over at the other forum where he tends to hang out. Ontario does seem to be continuing the RD Hawk, in 1060 steel.
