Has anyone ever had their recurve taken off of a zt0350 or zt0300? Like converting it to a drop point instead of the bullnose. Just curious.

Unless you regrind the entire blade the results will be a bit of a compromise. The blade will be thicker through the area where you removed material and the edge bevel will not be uniform.

I saw the Krein regrind on the 200. And i never thought of the negative effects on the blade edge...

Yes, had a knife guru in seattle take out the recurve in the blade and a little of the spine of a 350, convexed the edge and it is a much better slicer than before. Going to do another 350 like this soon. You will not regret doing it. I wish ZT would do something like the 550 with a flipper, that is the ideal blade shape for me. 560 just to big to comfortably EDC.

Ive come across a few pics of 0301's with re-grids, saw one made into a tanto and a few with recurve remove. It can be done

Would you mind taking some pics for me. I totally agree with you that the 350 with the 550 blade shape is much more ideal

I have a 350 and i've been tempted to do a regrind myself.
I'll probably end up buying a 560 but if the 550 was a Flipper then i'd probably not buy the 560 and sell my 350.

Man, I really like the krein bowie. I'd take either of those last two!
