RE-heat treating A2?

I had two A2 blades come out with a little "torque" to them that I didn't catch before tempering. Are there any concerns for throwing them back in the oven ( like O1) for a second go?
Thanks for the help, Rod

I would stress relieve at 1200F for 2 hours, straighten, then re-heat treat. A2 is a good candidate for 'plate quench ' which should prevent warping.

Mete,
Thanks for the advice. I searched the forums and found the info. I needed last night but couldn't figure out how to delete this post so I wouldn't be adding to repeat question syndrome.

As far as plate quenching I am using them but these two blades have a pummel plate welded to the tang creating a T shape. When I put the blades between the plates the ss foil wrap must have pulled on one side of the pummel because of the tent effect created and causing the warp. I'll slit the foil next time to fix this.
Thanks again for answering my query and putting up with the redundancy!

A2 rehardens well. Plate quenching is the way I do it now. Air quenching works, but tends to allow scale to form during cooling. I used to oil quench it to avoid the scale, but had some warping problems on larger and/or thinner blades. No problemo with the plates.

I have been forging some A2 over the last year-not an easy job. Prior to heat treating, normalize it like Mete said above and it all works fine. A2 cools out of the forge harder than a preacher's heart.
