Born in 2001, Kelly (Kellipalik) Ashoona is an emerging artist based in Kinngait (Cape Dorset, NU) and son of established artist Ning Ashoona. Kelly participated in the creation of Pitseolak Ashoona's public artwork with his mother and uncle Kuzy Curley.



Selling this beautiful piece because it no longer fits in my little INUIT SCULPTURE COLLECTION.
I am collecting only INUIT carved bears and musk ox. I can't have them all so these will go to make room for a new bear or 2.

The INUIT sculpture LOONS, in particular, is a very collectible example and in this case a great deal. INUIT ART has become a major international art sector. I think it is very fair to call this a solid investment piece. This will always sell for the asking price in that market and will likely be worth 2 or 3 times that over the short term and longer. Very great example, of the genre - beautifully and realistically rendered.
