Re-profile blank after heat treat?

It went really well. The belts don’t hold up to hardened steel very well when I first started grit from the belt was flying all over the place. However it worked!! Thanks again
I’m not trying to stir anything up here but I have been reading that norton and 3m belts hold up way better than others? Has this been your experience also?
TruGrit has a Norton Budget Belt that I find to work great & be at a great price point! I get 1-3 blades per belt depending on size, I grind after HT and then use them for profiling etc .. What Hoss said is a 100% correct! Buying cheap belts cost more in time & hassle for not as clean of a finished product!

Natlek i used a carbide bit it still took me a very long time but I did get it done
What kind of carbide bit you use ? Solid carbide drill should drill like in butter , masonry drill are not sharpened for steel , ceramic tile bits a sharpened in right way and will drill in steel like in butter .....
