Re: religious views

all I know about religion is:

1)sheep go to heaven

2)goats go to hell

Munk, Birds of North America was a great read.

I figure since im not a goat, and only a quarter sheep, I can enjoy my life and not worry about the whole salvation/eternal damnation thing.

Fore real entertainment, I'm deeply engrossed in National Audubon's Field Guide to North American Trees (Eastern Region). Now this is a cliff hanger...

Isn't the quote, "What does this have to do with khukui's? Everything."

We all make our own spiritual paths in the world.
No one can govern the spirit but its beholder, and dat's the right way.

Faith:
"By simply saying that you believe in something means that you think you are right, that's why it's called faith."---Yoip, I am a faithless man by that definition.
My gods don't particualarly care if I sink or swim, it's me beating my head against this world that shapes me...giving myself to myself, not giving me to someone else. This requires only faith in Myself, which is exaclty what my gods (and goddesses, can't leave them out!) want me to have. Once again, this does not invalidate anything you may believe, I hope. I'm still talking personal truths here.

Hayv!

And correct me if I'm wrong Keith, But being responsible for my own actions plays a great deal in the part of our spiritual belief's as well. Ainnit?;)
At least it does in what I believe.:D

Methinks Keith and I could do ceremony with each other with no conflict at all.:D
All people were tribal at one time with tribal belief's. Things were a lot simpler in those days!

in our temple we have a simple way of saying it

"Faith is trust in the hope"

...spiritual belief's as well. Ainnit" --Yeppers! I have ne need of sin or atonement, If I fook up, it is my duty to fix it. There is true honor in that, for the self and all parties involved. If I fook up, it ain't nobody's fault but mine....Fidelity, honor, truth, steadfastness...these are the meat at my table.

"Methinks Keith and I could do ceremony with each other with no conflict at all."
Honor! Yvsa, I'll sweat with you any time! We'll swap old creation myths
while we breathe the breath of the Great Spirit.

[I've found this to be the case in the past, where a Hindu buddy or Buddhist buddy, or NDN buddy and I see much in common with our spirituality. One of the neatest things I have is a simple little Thorrshammar that a Lakota Sioux buddy made for me outta red pipestone...simple, but what it represents means worlds to me...brothers are found all around.]

"All people were tribal at one time with tribal belief's"--Oh, yeah, and some of us never fully joined the flock! Dang ancestry's all worked into me blood. Lest we forget--White folks wuz wild once too!
