Re Work?

Hi Guy's,
I am reworking a blade that I broke the tip off. Should I anneal it before re heat treating the blade? It has plenty to rework but the quench line is wrong.

For me a couple months ago only re-austenisation/quenching worked. No deformation or something else occurred. Also it is quite popular to quench triple, yours will be "double quenched"

Edit: I thought about it again, as it is selective quenched, it might be smart to run a normalization cycle first.

I've re-HT'ed 1095 & w2 for better hamons. I just ran a couple of normalizing cycles. I'm curious as to what the experts recommend also.
