I still plan to send it to get a dark acid stonewash finish in a few weeks, I just couldnt do it without first seeing the heat treat line.

Awesome story, Grendelsnap. Like the well-used blade. Being new to Bussekin, my Ratmandu still looks relatively new, although it has already had much of the desert sage knocked off. So the wear is much more subtle. It has rapidly become one of my main go-to blades. I can understand how yours has worked so well for you. Don't really have a good way to post a pic, and it wouldn't show the wear anyway. Waiting on a second Rat, a Rodent 6, now.
 
Thanks, I just got a second Swamp Rat myself. I'll throw some pictures together once the sheath arrives. It's a rodent 4, and Eli from Godspeed tactical is putting together some EDC type kydex for it.
