This is part of a tusk that I bought off a fellow knifemaker about 2 years ago, I believe it is about 20 years old. It was broken off a working elephant at the local animal attraction called Jungle Land.
It is 3" in diameter and 7.6" in height, it is about 5" to the narrow part where it is 2 .5" wide at then end. It will yield scales up to 6" and about 2.2" wide. Great piece for larger gun grips.
