Bill sent me these pics of a Satan's Lace Damascus Hell's Belle . The client wanted these symbols or ruins carved into the blade so Bill did it.

The customer also requested a coffin handle and steel guard. I think it has a nice contrast with the blade

Here is Bill with a nice Texas Hog with in my opinion has a real nice long snout alot of Russian characteristics

Always enjoy seeing a B. Bagwell thread. That blade looks familiar except for the ruin symbols. I'm hungry for some chops!

Love that damascus. The more I see those "Hells Belles" the better they seem to look!

Very cool. Joe, my limited exposure to the feral hogs down here in Florida leads me to believe that the original Spanish piggies were fairly "wild" looking. This is a sow that I skewered a while back on the north shore of Lake Okeechobee and she had some of the same characteristics. The big ears says that she probably a bit more modern domestic blood in her that Bill's pig, but she looked very different than the fat, short nosed little black rooter that my brother bagged on this particular trip.

nice pig Joe

You are right some feral hogs have that just off the farm look will others seem to have a more russian boar look to them.

When I used to go down south with the dogs every now and then we would come across one with a bit more snout longer cutters and more bristled up coat

Here is a little one my dog really liked he has a good snout and some cutters

True. Some of the hogs in Texas have that "just off the farm look" to the extent that they are still black and white or pink! Down here, pretty much all of the ones that I have run across have been the black/gray color. The difference is in the body shape and proportions. My experience has been that the more domestic looking sows tend to taste better because they have higher body fat content.

Young female feral pig from the rain forest. They tend to grow large tusks. By the way, the month of May is right around the corner, innit...?? Bazzinga..!!!

Very nice although I would have preferred the guard, collar and pins in Damascus steel-The Bagwell knives are the best, forever-
Thank you Joe!

I believe the handle is Cocobolo

The Ruins I believe are a warriors prayer

Thanks for all the nice comments I am sure Bill apreciates it and I know I do.

Always nice to see a new Bagwell.... I really can't decide whether I prefer the coffin style handle or the traditonal stag.
