I don't like the grey box, where did that come from. I just had this discussion with an acquaintance and he told me all long oval activation buttons are not made in U.S.A. I have a few, bought from a reputable knife company. I don't like the grey box. Did it come along with the Buck box. Mine ALWAYS had white styrafoam wrapped or a white styrafoam baggie never a plastic bag. My knives have the notch for double action. I really can't say positively, I am only glad I have a few, rest are round buttons. Looking more closely the blades look incorrect. Having looked at thousands of blades from Buck Knives these don't seem to be curved up on the top front. Too straight.

Buck does not make automatic knives so somebody else has had these knives apart. It is what it is. You might ask or someone else might have a opinion. IMHO Fake. I have never seen the sheaths in plastic either. Very oversize button holes, a place for garbage to gather. Not precision for sure. I didn't notice the buttons on the sheaths do not have BUCK on them. The one picture looks like graphite was used to make the blade move more smoothly.

The shop answered me, that conversion of this Buck's in China!
But on the page in the internet shop there are on information of China. And this is very bad to.

These are stamped with Buck's 2013 year mark stamp, look at the font size and block lettering (not correct). Then look at the wood scales, buck is using a layered laminate and these are solid wood (also not correct). The Buck marked boxes also look short for a 110 size box (again not correct). I'd say these are FAKE!

Fake Fake Fake. I have one in my counterfit collection. They can be purchased on a Chinese English language site for about $43 shipping included to USA last time I checked. I have purchased all my counterfits directly from China so provenance is known. Joe Houser has had quite a time getting auctions for them shut down on eBay. There were quite a few for awhile. It's a pretty close copy but if you have a real and counterfit together in your hand you can tell but a casual observer can not.

At one time I was intending a detailed article or thread on counterfits with side by side comparisons but have since dropped the idea. Joe Houser told me he has found it counter productive to reveal in detail the differences so I dropped the project. (wow... my 2400th post, I need to get a life)

I bought one that I thought was real. The sheath even had the snap marked buck but if you look at the top grind line on the blade it does not go above above the k on the buck stamp. Mine doesn't. So I would have to say from the pics yours look like fakes too. Also the pivot pin should be stainless not brass.

Thanks to all!
My freinds from BuckKnives give me that same answer - this is the fake Buck.

Sreenshot from this shop which sells fakes knives!

What is the name of the place where you purchased these knives? Give up the name they misrepresented the knife and I don't want to buy from them!! WOW!! No refund either.

To be fair: the ad does say the knife has been converted after market so they didn't misrepresent anything. They took a Buck knife and converted it into an automatic. That's exactly what they said they did.

I have been waiting over a year for a knife I ordered on Nov. 4 2015 from Netknives.com. It is a Gold Lip Mother of pearl. With many e-mails since April 2016 wanting my money returned. It has never happened and the person never mentions the money. It was $499.95 and will not return the money. Only bad on my part was not using PayPal.

It said they took a "Buck Knife" and converted it. It is not a "buck knife" it is a counterfeit copy of a buck knife. That is false advertisement period.

I buy this fake knife in dellsmart.com.

dellsmart.com/NAME-BRAND-AUTOMATIC-KNIVES/Buck-Auto-dual-action-Lockblade-Switchblade-knife/prod_1892.html

And email to Charlie Dellavecchia <management@dellsmart.com>. But she's told me - knife is real, knife is good!

Several answers from this "lady"

By the way this is the box Buck 110 and 112 come in. Did you not know that Buck doesn't make automatic knives, we buy the knife here and send it over to have it converted it automatic. So you were not sold a fake.

2016-11-03 16:03 GMT+02:00 Charlie Dellavecchia <management@dellsmart.com>:
Why would they use a big box for a small knife. Makes no sense to have all that waisted room. I know my knife is real and sent to China to be converted. I've sold several of them and never had one complaint before you. So that tells me I'm right. Enjoy your knives.

About conversion in China i have learned after has received these fakes and began to ask questions.
In shop on the page with this knife there is no word about China.

You are missing the point. The knife itself is a made in China fake, even the box artwork has been counterfeited.

I don't believe this is a factory made buck knife that has been converted, I have one of the fakes that looks exactly like the knives in the pictures and I don't think it was made by buck so it looks like it was misrepresented. Unfortunately I did not discover that mine was fake for several months so I had no option on a refund. You could call the better business Bureau and report the fakes or maybe calling the company that sold them to you and tell them you are going to call the better business Bureau might be enough to get a refund.

Unfortunately this shop dont't want to refund my money.

Of course they don't, they made $468 on the deal. They bought a $43 Chinese fake and sold it to you for $160. $117 markup times 4 is $468 in the sellers pocket for reselling a fake knife. Here is a current ad (today) from a Chinese website. Notice that the purchase price includes shipping in the mail. By sending these in small packages thru the mail, they bypass customs. My understanding is that Chinese law does not recognize intellectual property rights but it is illegal to sell counterfit products in the USA. You just can't get anyone in enforcement to pay attention to these small transactions. Good English.... it's a "campin" knife.... ;o)

Never heard of Dellsmart.com ever. My first auto knives came from Bladeplay.com and BladeHQ.com which I believe do business only in the U.S.A. The last auto I purchased from them was an 18 inch Italian auto and the lockup mechanism was badly bent and they found out all of their knives were the same way they took it back and refunded my money not a hard time at all.

On OlegW's knives they were mass produced and If they bought them from BUCK what happened to the button that says BUCK on the sheath. Do you think they actually would switch buttons? The knives are fake from CHINA!!! I have never gotten a small box for a 110 or any other Buck knife, like the ones OlegW has. Have You REYHRH?
