Real or fake?

Fake tree here. Fake trees already have the lights on them and you don't have a big mess to clean up on the 26th.

Besides, when I kill something it's either to eat it or for protection. I'm not going to eat a pine tree and I doubt one is going to attack me. :D

Real or fake? Not what I was expecting after opening the thread.........

I hear you. I thought it was a Cobalt thread for a second.

I love real trees, but as I get older, it's the fake ones that we tend to put up. And like drew said, it's really easy when you get one of those with the lights permanently attached.

Usually real, but this year, FAKE! We went retro at home and simple at the cabin (where we aren't there daily to water it.)

The cabin got a 5' fake $70 nasty-lookin tree with lights from Target. Home? 6' vintage 1950's Evergleam. With light. It was sooooo cool in the 60's, ick-ville from 1970-2000. Today - I think they look elegantly vintage. We've got it with just red balls on it.

Well I have always wondered about killing a tree to celebrate the Birth but with the kids gone and no grandkids visiting this year I didn't bat an eye when the little woman brought home a rosemary topiary for the table and called it our Christmas tree. We'll add it to the herb garden in the spring, you always need fresh rosemary when cooking up some pork chops.

Real! U - Cut! Next year I'm taking a Busse out to do the deed. I always feel like I'm cheating when I use my chainsaw.

.

That looks about right. I'm 5' 7" on a good day and I come up to your elbow.

I used to love getting real trees.... Until I got "sick" a few years ago. First bout with ovarian cancer, sure made a fake tree look real good! (surgery was in November 2000) And it's been fake ever since... sorry, but I don't consider myself a loser!
Surviving cancer twice.... Makes me a winner!!

Merry Christmas to you all!!

Merry Christmas to you!!!

:D

Hmmm.

A great dane, a boxer, two cats, and a ferret.

No tree would last very long here.:D

I don't see silicone getting the respect it deserves. Fake doesn't bother me a bit!!

As for trees: this year is my son's first real Christmas tree. Before coming to Alaska, real pine trees were so far and few between that it wasn't worth the expense of buying one.
