Real Paramilitary 2. Fake package?

Knife & box look fine. Doubt it's a fake.

I've had many many Spydercos and there were small package variations here & there when compared to older versions friends had, but never once was it a fake. Knifecenter is also a reputable dealer. I've never personally had any or heard of any counterfeit situations.

When you have to wait, it's usually (in my experience) because they've run out of stock-on-hand and have to order directly from the manufacturer (Spyderco, in this case). So you're waiting for them to receive it from Spyderco and then send to you. I've gone through that actually a couple of times, even with my own PM2.

They kept selling out and I finally snagged one in black with digicam handle. Waited about a month, but it was worth it. Both the knife and the package were perfectly fine & genuine.

I understand that you have to wait and that's one of my problems.

The site listed a 1-2 month wait and usually you have to wait like you said but in my case they shipped it out a day after I had ordered it that's not usually for them to list something out of stock but have 1 in stock the next day.

Just another thing that doesn't add up in my opinion.

This is the best looking fake I have yet seen. They have truely stepped their paramilitary 2 game up. They even got the grind on the g10 next to the lock bar correct which was an easy way to tell a fake for a long time. If you look at the jimping it does not have the same pattern as the real deal. The real one's jimping is like a staircase up the spine of the blase. The fakes have this more spikey pattern.

By the way a picture that showed the whole knife would have gone a long way.

Return it. It is FAKE.

I just don't know what to do anymore. I wish there was a way I could find out it's so damn close to the real thing.
Hell it might be the real deal I just don't know. If I could send it to spyderco and have them tell me I'd feel a lot better.
These past few days I've just climbed deeper and deeper into the fake Paramilitary rabbit hole and I'm just about sick of it all.

I've never had to question the authenticity of any of my other knifes it's ridiculous I'd have to for a 140$ knife. I'm probably just going to return it and try again, Unless spyderco wants to review it I'd gladly send it in for review just so they can have a model of a recent counterfeitts and the quality of new fakes if it is indeed fake.

You absolutely can send it to Spyderco for verification. In fact, it is what they recommend. :)

I just don't know what to do anymore.
Is this a joke? How can you be so sure that the Delica box is genuine as opposed to the para2 box? Did you order the Delica directly from Spyderco (let's assume no one tampered with the package en route)? Knifecenter is a reputable Spyderco dealer that even has store exclusive sprint runs made just for them.

Are you suspecting that someone bought a para2, switched it out with a fake one (including the box) and returned it to the store? Then return it to the store. The return shipping will be a small price to pay for relieving that anxiety. Return the Delica too, that might be fake as well.

Here's a Cruwear para 2 sprint with the same style label on the box: https://youtu.be/CUZ1c1LEYUs?t=34s

Just send it to Spyderco as others have suggested. No opinions here are going to be able to ease your anxiety.

Just compare the jimping on the spine with a real Para2. On the real ones the jimping is angled back so the cuts rub up the spine areound the hole like the stairs of a step pyramid. On the fakes the jimping is cut like spikes with the peaks pointing more upwards.

In reply to your statement the delica4 is no doubt real because it is a gift that was purchased directly from spyderco and it was bought when delica4 didn't have the popularity they have today when you could still get them for like 40 dollars at places like knifecenter. I think the Paramilitary is real it feels genuine and everything checks out. I'm no worried even if it is fake. The whole reason for this post is seeing if people have ad similar experiences with reputable dealers.

I have no doubt in my mind knifecenter sent me the real deal and I love the knife I'm just a curious owner. Is it so wrong to ask other peoples opinions?

People buy from trusted places, such as Knifecenter to avoid the questions you have. Hope that answers your question...You are Paranoid like a fugitive...
