I'd agree with this, I've never seen a fake that took the time to solder the guard. I'm 4.5 years out on a pre-order for a 1-7 myself, can't wait :cool: Nice score!!!

I'm no "expert" but looks GTG to me. Brass guard&buttcap w/ black spacers. As for the grind by the guard on the spine...well you could always contact Randall. Not sure how common wood was as a handle material.
