real strider or knockoff???

hey guys got a couple striders in a trade deal and im pretty sure the one is legit as ive owned one before but the other screamed out to me as being fake! I know there are a lot of guys who are more up on striders than I am so before I contact the seller can you guys tell me what you think? fit and finish seem sub par and the strider name is a totally different font check out the pics thanks guys

No too knowledgeable when it comes to Strider fixed blades, but I do own an SMF. Looking at the font of the Strider name, and the fact that the logo is going onto the blade grind makes it somewhat suspicious. I also don't think Strider does a Satin finish like what this knife seems to have (Thought they only do stone wash, coated, laser etch, and tiger stripe). My gut feeling says either A: They had a really bad day in the shop, and this one shows a complete lack of QC. or B: It's a fake.

Just my 0.02, but like I said, I don't know too much about Strider fixed blades.
 
That's definitely either a fake, or a REALLY bad backyard regrind. The WP in that blade style is supposed to have a false edge (I'm pretty sure), the logo is off, and the font isn't like anything I've ever seen Strider use. This thing is screaming fake to me.

I'd be a little upset.
 
That's the most pathetic attempt of faking a Strider I have ever seen. I'm sorry to say this, but you got ripped off badly. Can you please post pics of the other Strider? If this one is a fake then it's very likely that the other one you received along with it is a fake as well.

Demand your money back from the seller. This is absolutely inexcusable. I'm willing to bet that the seller already knew it was a fake (or at least had suspicions) No one in their right mind can see this monstrosity in person and not know it is a blatant fake.

Id be willing to bet someone new to knives who heard of the strider name could be fooled by this, but that being said I would also request a refund. No need to be a jerk unless the seller isn't compliant in making it right.
 
thanks guys I knew it was a fake just wanted to make it known. he is taking care of the situation and if anything changes ill keep you posted. thanks for the help yall!
