Warning, I am not a licensed electrician. This work in progress is not intended as an instructional aid or instruction for anyone to use as a guide. It is for amusement only. Electric shock can kill. Always use the service of a qualified and licensed electrician for all electrical work.
I thought I would try something different today. I've been using my disc grinder more and more, and although it does not have a VFD or anything fancy like that, I want it to reverse. It's about 9:00 am here in the sunshine state. I'm going to update pictures as I go, rather than when I'm done for a real time WIP. Here's the grinder.
Here's the switch. This switch may be overkill, I've seen it done with a toggle switch mounted on the motor but I could not find reliable directions for that.
Wiring diagram on the motor.
Wiring diagram on the switch.
My wiring diagram to make sense of it.
Here's the old tool rest that may also get upgraded today, depends on the UPS man...
It's 9:10 and I need some wire and stuff so I'm off to HD.
