Real-world 'GO' Rigs, whatcha packin' in your pouch?

IMG_20120707_153428.jpg

as real world as it gets, tactical daddy diaper EDC, Osprey Quantum.

top front pocket has ferro rod, tinderquick, fatwood, waxed twine, wetfire cubes, O-light M20S.

kangaroo pouch for redbox videos to turn back in. prints nice and its always with you so you can't forget them

hand sanitizer in side pocket

main compartment: diapers, babywipes, blanket, baby chest rig, unlined steel water bottle.

and 2 nice big tall rear side entry pockets for drinks and snacks.

in my pockets Spyderco PM2 M390 and UKPK probably soon to be replaced by a CTS-XHP Manix2 most of the time.

As a fellow father of wee ones (you can tell, I'm at home on a Saturday night), I can relate the tactical diaper bag (tho mine was never very tactical) and your chances of encountering a epic meltdown/tantrum from your mini-me cuz he/she wants their 'ba-ba' NOW is far more likely (and possibly dangerous) than having to bug out and start snaring the local critters...Just don't tell me you're packing your Busse in a minivan!!!:barf:

That being said, this thread has certainly taking some interesting turns. How in the world did we go from a few essentials in a 2 x 4 inch pouch on the side of sheath to a purple hooter hider???? Weird.

Very well, carry on...

Promised I'd post a pic of my 'rig'. It's pretty basic.
-- A modified spec ops style sheath
-- Fire Steel
-- ZT 0350
-- Busse TG

The webbing on the back of the sheath gives the option of clipping the ZT on the underside

Of course in any 'bug out' scenario a pair of camel-felt Kyrgyzstani slippers is essential!! :p

Sorry about the pic quality, my phone cam doesn't love the late-night-light!

My training/SHTF first line belt. I have a spot for an 11" bowie right in back of the pistol mags. Bowie still being built.

Man, you have to PM me more info on that belt setup. Me like!

OSOE War Belt with cobra belt inside. OSOE 4xpistol mags, OSOE double AR Mags, OSOE dump pouch, OSOE IFAK, OSOE small utility pouch, kydex Side Armor holster with custom drop extension. G20 with surefire X300, spyderco streetbeat in custom kydex sheath, surefire M2 Centurion in OSOE flashlight pouch.

Meds, tools, fire, food are also contained inside the belt.

The belt is very comfortable. It can be run with an H-harness, but not necessary. I have a patrol vest that can attach to it if extra mags are necessary.

OSOE has had mixed review for customer service in the past, but I'd say that they are GTG in that respect currently.

Their quality is first rate IMO.

Nice war belt. I've been meaning to build one for a while now. I went the plate carrier route first instead. It can pack a bunch of gear plus protects my vitals from rifle rounds...so that's a cool bonus.

As for the pouches on my Busse(kin) blades, they are still all empty. I tried spare mags and the usual mini survival kits but I couldn't get them just how I wanted them. We'll see how they end up.
