Really bad blade play on the Spyderco Military?

Make sure everything is seated right, its all gotta be in its rightful place. When I took mine apart for the first time to do a spring cleaning so to speak, it had a mile of horizontal play and the pivot wasn't seated right. Once that was fixed it went back to the hair of play it developed from hard use and fondling.

I think this was sarcasm...

Anyways, since sending it back isn't an option, try loosening all of the screws, normally deploy the blade, then tighten all of the screws down while the blade is locked open. Close it then recheck to see if that helped with the vertical play; sometimes the scales are misaligned and the lock face doesn't make full contact with the blade tang. Check to make sure the washers are in, the stop pin is seated, and clean the knife thoroughly. If Spyderco can't send you washers, ask them what the washer size is and look for any knife kit sites in Australia. :) Good luck!

No... I was dead serious broham. Heat expands metal :D

Yes I was just joking. The OP made a thread a few days back asking if it was bad to heat up his blades with a lighter so I was just bust'n his chops.
