Really disappointed in Buck cs.

S Shrub Buck's customer service is excellent. It use to be that you could just send in your knife with a note and it would be taken care of.

I can understand with their growth and outside management coming in things like accountability and procedures are going to change. Paperwork is important in those areas. Sorry it is such a hardship on you.

Buck is not the same family run business it was a few years ago.

Gary GPyro GPyro you are a special guy, glad you're around here!

Glad this got some help from the great guys here. You’re in a special situation with no easy access to basic tech, did you explain this to Buck? Did you ask them if they could mail you the form so you could fill it out for them? I’d be curious if they’d have done that for you.

I hope they get your knife fixed and back to you. My limited experience with their Service Dept has been excellent. I just hope your knife's issue is a fixable issue because that frame is discontinued. Thank you GPyro! OH

I did try to explain, but it didn't seem to make any difference. To be fair, I'm not sure the lady on the other end of the conversation understood what I was trying to say. I didn't even think to ask her about mailing me the forms. Perhaps I fell short in that aspect?

Buck's customer service used to be pretty amazing.
Things got pretty hectic, some would say bad. Really it was just painfully slow.
They are very busy for the number of folks they have on staff.
I guess a few retired or whatever. New people in unfamiliar jobs...
Covid, new CEO, supply and labor shortages...... I'm sure that had an impact.

They will still come through and address a customer's problems.
Buck isn't perfect.
But I still trust them more than any other company I do business with.

It's a different world.
I'm just glad I'm still in it.😊

It’s all under the bridge now, I was just curious if you had asked because if they wouldn’t mail the form to you, that would be quite a slap in the face after explaining your situation. Hopefully they take care of you quick and get that knife in your pocket where it belongs!

Don’t feel too left out in the world, I don’t own a printer either! Haha. By the time one is needed the cartridges have dried up so after the last one went obsolete in a year and couldn’t work with anything in our house, we didn’t get another. That’s another reason I was curious if they’d mail it if a person needed it, I might be in that situation someday! 🍻

Okay. I'm sure many of you who commented on this thread are curious as to what went down and how this turned out. I feel like maybe I shouldn't say too much, but I don't want to leave you guys in silence either.
GPyro GPyro ...

Today I got not just one, but two packages. One was completely unexpected. This guy, owes me nothing, and really, that's what I was expecting to get. The extra package was direct from Buck. Not the same model as I had been whining about, but a 112 Slim Ranger. Brand new in the box. Apparently this fella, ordered me a replacement, and still sent the other letter with the warranty form printed just like he promised.

Honestly guys, I'm a little blown away. I don't think I've ever even met GPyro except on this forum. If that even counts(?), but hence forth, I feel confident he can call me friend. He went above and beyond just to do something nice for someone. Even this time of the year, you don't see a whole lot of that anymore.

This knife will be special in my collection for sure.

Really, all I expected when I started this thread was to rant a little bit about my frustrations. Maybe if anyone else had a similar issue we'd rant together. Then we'd all joke and laugh about it a little and move on.
I did think maybe, just maybe, someone from buck might be watching the forums and there was a slim chance that they might try to help, but I wasn't betting any cash on it.
It's good to know that there are still some people out there that want to be kind and encourage others. Even just a small act of kindness can make a big difference sometimes. That's what this knife will represent to me. I hope GPyro GPyro is blessed many times over for his kindness.

Also, wishing you guys a very Merry Christmas. Be safe running around to all the gatherings and have fun.

You'll fit right in.

Thanks again Shrub for your service to our country!

Glad it all worked out!

Gpyro, great on ya!

There is a Buck community. Members here helped me through some rough times, and I hope I was able to help them also at times.
