1.8oz is still a bit heavy for me. But off the tactical stab-a-bear-thru-the-breastbone pens, this one is tops so far. And cheapest!

Excuse me for being so out of it, but what is the use of a pen like that? I can see the reason for super tough knives.. but pens?
Not only is it a pen that can be used in harsh environments (such as military, law enforcement, etc. scenarios) but also doubles as a last ditch self defense item. A cheap made, non heavy duty pen won't hold up to be used as a self defense weapon for very long.
You can take it many places you can't take a knife. Strike someone with a good strong pen and all that force will be concentrated to a single point and it will hurt/put someone down. Take a pen and poke your chest or head and see.
