You can try that. Sometimes it works....So should I just leave the knife intact and oil it with a syringe?
Ok, thanks. You can try that. Sometimes it works.
jlauffer ? Suggestions?
Ok, thank you!Don't have any experience with that particular knife, but you could try loosening the pivot and flushing it out, then oil and tighten it up again.
I also saw the Kershaw Scallion - is that a good quality knife?
Ok, thank you!
I’ll try flushing it out with WD40 and then I’ll oil it with mineral oil and a syringe.![]()
Very smooth now. How'd you make out?
I would do that, except I take it apart every so often, and I don’t want to have to keep reapplying. :/Might want to use blue thread lock on any screws that were loosened. At least the pivot.
Try contacting the manufacturer, I’ve never dealt with them but have been told they’re good folks.Hehe, so it appears that one of the screws holding my clip to my Ultiltac is stripped slightly. No clue how that happened, I’m always careful. But now the clip is loose and swings form side to side.
Is there a place I can get replacement screws?
Do you have a link for that? I googled it, but there were three different sites. I don’t want to contact the incorrect one.Try contacting the manufacturer, I’ve never dealt with them but have been told they’re good folks.

Welcome the scratches. I've been using my Hinderer xm-18 and am savoring ever bit of wear I am putting on it. When someone inevitably asked "do people even use their expensive knives?" I can show them that people do.
Scratches and wear are a sign of a good tool that someone enjoys using!
I would take a sword. Just in case...Dang has it been a WHILE!!
Well, I need some advice! Choice seems pretty obvious, but I figured I would ask anyway.
I’m going to a search and rescue school (Hawk Mountain Ranger School), and I’m allowed a pocket knife and a utility knife. (Obviously going to be using the SAK and the Ontario Utilitac)
Anything else I should consider?
No fixed blades longer than 3 inches.I would take a sword. Just in case...
Hide it in your walking stick. Or get one of those nifty belts that turns into a sword. They will thank you later. No fixed blades longer than 3 inches.
