But he’d have a Sebenza in his pocket to brag about to all the grown men on here
I hope you're not talking about me... Even though most days I feel like I'm 80: I still think like I'm only 8!

BRUH, if you’re only 15 you should probably be saving your money instead of considering $500+ knives. Do you have money saved up for a car yet? What about when you’re 18 and want to move out? Think forward about your future needs, not about your present wants.
I didn’t buy my first Sebenza until I was in my 20’s and was on a decent salary working in construction management. Before that I was humble with my Mini Griptilian.
I was in my 50's before I spent more than $100 for a knife.
Well good for you.![]()
Actually, I think I was dumb. I should've paid more attention to making sure that I had a quality backup knife and not been so assured of my handgun and my shooting ability. Luckily I didn't pay a high price for my lack of attention.
Wasn’t his parents checking this thread out when he first joined?Knives for self-defense. Seems like a quality topic for the thread of a 15 year old.

For the sake of the OP let’s keep this thread on track. He’s 15, “backup” isn’t something to be concerned with.I said, "backup". You guys never stop...Pathetic...

Yes, I do have a savings account. I put half of whatever I make (after tithe) into that account, to use once I move out of the house. Not sure where you’re seeing that, but whatever triple zero. I’d just like to see a kid get as much help as possible. You're the one that took it off-thread. Mind your own business. And I don't see "Mod" under your name.
I’m not looking for a self defense knife, because as you guys said, it’s a bad idea. Especially in this day and age when everyone has a gun. Plus, I haven’t been trained to use it whatsoever.

I just want a knife that is high quality, will last me a long time, and has a practical and tactical use for it.

If you stick with the “big name” manufacturers (Benchmade and Spyderco are where I’d start) you’ll be fine. Especially if you need warranty work.I just want a knife that is high quality, will last me a long time, and has a practical and tactical use for it.
