A while back, I had some bald blanks water jet cut out of 3v. I sent half of them to Peters to be heat treated. When I can them cut and drilled them< i went with a size or two smaller han 1/4 for the lanyard hole intending not to use a tube liner. Now I have changed my mind as I plan to use wood for some of the handles as opposed to composite materials on all of them as I originally intended. Drilling/reaming the 12 that are not hardened is not big deal, but how can I do the 10 hardened ones? I have mini mill/drill and big 17 inch floor standing drill press.

You can send them to me, I'll do it for the price of return postage.

Every so often I get a couple of the 50 piece sets of diamond burrs when they are on sale at Harbor Freight. They go on sale for about $10. These sets have balls, cones, inverted cones, and wheels in several sizes. They are perfect for enlarging holes in hardened steel when needed, making slots, and even drilling a hole that was forgotten before HT. They don't last long, and should be dipped in water or oil often in use, but they are so cheap that a single use is worth it.
