• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

reason for switch from hollow to flat grind?

I like the looks better too, but if the flat grind gives better performance then I don't mind.
Actually, now that I think about it, I'm sure that I once read that a hollow ground blade would cut better because it was thinner over a greater area, but that the flat grind was a little stronger.
But who knows, I could be wrong...sometimes I read too much.

I have had a similar nagging question, and have been contemplating selling my numbered hollow ground AR and getting a new flat ground AR.
I, however, am not sure if I would appreciate the difference in cutting performance that the flat ground offers.
Looking forward to further comments.
Wesley
