Here we have a WE Balaenoptera and a Reate T3000. Both are like new. The Reate has a box, whereas the Balaenoptera does not. Both come with pouches, microfiber cloths, and the goodies.
The Balaenoptera sports a 3.55” inch M390 blade and purple milled titanium handle scales. The insides of the scales are all milled out. This knife has seen absolutely no use besides paper, and being flipped a few times. Lockup is strong, detent is maybe a little on the weak side (by my reckoning), and the action is a little tricky, but smooth, and surprisingly light. Don’t expect it to be easy to get the hang off though! It will gently shake shut. For my hands, the ergonomics are great, and the milling really cements it into my hands. It is a pocket beast though. This thing is big and fat and purple and based off a whale. It isn’t a slim little CEO knife! Titanium pocket clip, etc, etc.

The Reate T3000 is a Tashi Bharucha design outfitted with a 3.25” M390 blade, titanium scales, and CF inlays. There is no backspacer, as the scales come together at the back of the knife. Great action, perfectly smooth. Solid lockup, and the detent is spot on. You know Reate. The ergos surprised me; with my large hands, it felt tight, but I have a full grip, and it’s comfortable. Comes with bag, box, and all the little Reate goodies. Comes sharp. From me, it has seen no use but a piece of paper. It did have a previous owner, so I cannot speak to any use, though the knife has no marks.
