Thanks man! Just with careful grinding and done very lightly. The grind angle may not be exact but it's close and there is no play when done.

That's some old world craftsmanship. In woodworking there are flush-trim router bits with a ball bearing that can match a profile, and I wondered if you were using something similar.

I'm sure those receiving your existing services are glad you haven't but I'm kind of surprised you have not transitioned to making your own custom folders; it seems clear you have the ability and given what those appear to sell for it's got to be tempting, no?
