reblading a Regular

Iv often wondered what would happen if my nica tanto blade boogered up. But now that they are making tantos again(thought the nica's were special) I guess I dont have to loose sleep on it.

I am sure that CRK would warranty and replace your blade.....just with a 21 profile blade. You just cannot get the regular blade profile any longer as it is out of production, but I doubt they would say you were out of luck if anything happened to your regular.

Two points here:

1) In general, CRK maintains a significant "old parts" supply for knives that are out of production. Worst case, they still have the "recipe" for the old knives. Bottom line, CRK takes warranty work, even for discontinued knives, very seriously.

2) The regular blades are out of production? Ever heard of the LE Sebenzas? These are regulars that come out every year. I have a 2010 model -- gorgeous . . . and very much a regular model.

Maybe Heather meant that CRk doesn't do re-blading with Regular blade blanks anymore. Of course, warranty work doesn't fall under this category so Regular Sebenza owners have nothing to worry about.

My brother, I hate to pull this on you but PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!

I am sorry, I wasn't that clear. I meant as a standard item like a plain Sebenza or graphic or standard inlay, etc. I have heard and seen the LE Sebenzas with their regular profile blade and would love to pick one up one day, its just no one had mentioned a LE. Thanks for catching that.

I have a Large Regular Native American and would like to know if CRK do reblade Regulars, I could ask them, but it's weekend and well most of knowledge lurks around here anyway ;)

I want to go for a Damasteel Blade, I am used to the stonewash and due to the fact I use my blade for nearly every cutting chore, there's alot of fingerprints and stuff on the polished blade, I clean the blade after every job but well... is there's a chance? and how much will that be?

I had a small regular rebladed with a Damascus blade. It is very convenient, I EDC the Damascus blade but can switch back to the plain steel blade for tough work.

Cost . . . check with CRK. Time frame . . . they had my order a year before they called and asked for the knife. Git it back in a week or less.
